Sites - Thames Barrier
The Thames Barrier is really worth seeing! It is a large moveable gate structure which stretches across the river - part of the flood defense system to protect Londoners from rising tides. It’s nice to go and see the Barrier and have a drink and play in the park - you can sometimes see the boats going through. The barrier is an important part of our local history and you can see it from a nice park!
