Sites - Prince Regent
In the Prince Regent area is the Victoria Dock which was first opened in 1855, designed to accommodate large steam ships. Over the years the Docklands have had major improvements including the building of the ExCeL centre in 2000, where events are held. In the summer people go to the Victoria Docks because it has a nice environment with a grassed area for parents to take their children - when it’s hot you can picnic and have fun. A lot of tourists visit the Docklands area to take pictures and admire the views. From the ExCeL Bridge you can see Canary Wharf and the other buildings in this huge office development. Buildings have surrounded the Victoria Dock from 1855 to 2008, which nowadays is now better and cleaner and with more things to admire.
